Story Pitch- Jerry Yu

Exposition:
A robotic worker named Stan is in a dystopian world where robots were made to serve humans while having to work in factories and live in horrible living conditions, but the humans get to do nothing and enjoy their life separate from the robots.

Inciting Incident:
One day, a malfunction of the transportation system caused stan to accidentally go into the human world. There he met a little boy named Tom, who was a human. They soon become very good friends and Stan would often sneak into the human world to talk with Tom, who would tell him about the life of being a human and having human emotions as well as people to care for.

Conflict:
In the beginning, Stan was fascinated by the wonders of the human world and wish that he can one day become one of them. However, as time passes on, he realizes that he can never truly be accepted as a human and becomes jealous of Tom. Stan starts to hate his life and the fact that he has to work hard all day while humans can just relax and chill, and wishes that Tom would have to come and experience his life.

Crisis:
One day, Stan goes to where he and tom always meet, but Tom doesn't show up to see him. Stan became worried and started to look for him in the human world. Finally, he learned that Tom was being transported into the robot world to have a chip to be inserted into his body to be like stan and the other robots. At first, Stan's jealousy and hatred towards the humans caused him to be glad that Tom was going to suffer with him. However, when he thought of all the suffering and torture he had to go through every day, he realized that this wasn't morally right and that Tom shouldn't have to become like him. Stan started to show empathy because of his morals and ends up saving Tom from becoming a robot.

Resolution:
Because Stan had morals and showed empathy, something that only humans could do, he was able to embrace himself and his physical form, but also generate human emotions and which enables him to think and act like a human. Together, he and Tom decided to leave the city, a place of inequality and discrimination, to find a peaceful place in the forest and live together in harmony.
