Story Pitch

Story Pitch:
1. In a worn down city, a shapeshifter and her sibling are on the run from a group of hunters that plan on the eradication of her species. After facing the attack on her village, and losing most of her family and friends, she feels extremely guilty for running like a coward. She struggles to survive with that burden while at the same time watching over her only family left.

2. They find a new hiding place, an underground town below the city. They also discover that an elder of their village managed to escape, but are shocked to find out that the elder was unable to shift. The elder explains the new weapon the hunters created to strip shapeshifters of their abilities completely.

3. While they're safe for now, the girl struggles to cope with fact that she and her sibling could lose their powers permanently.

4. The hunters discovered their underground haven and began to raid the town. They find the younger sibling and hold her hostage. They threatened that they would "cleanse" her if the girl didn't join her. At this moment, she was faced with a difficult decision. Whether to comply to their demands or to do what she should have done a long time ago. She makes her decision and attacks, letting her younger sister have a chance to escape. The hunters try to shoot her with their new weapon but miss. Then one of the hunters managed to get a good aim at the younger shifter. The eldest saw and ran to block the shot. She gets hit and falls hard on the ground knocked out while slowly unshifting.

5. The girl wakes up, and finds her sister next to her sobbing. She notices that they're not in danger at the moment. Her sister explains how after she got shot, the hunters left. The girl tells her sibling that shes glad that they are safe now. She also says that being human is better than being dead and leaving her family behind.

Story 2:
1. A well known poker player is playing at a local casino. Blinded by his competitive nature, and cocky attitude he continues to act superior towards others. So far hes been undefeated.

2. A young lady arrives and requests to play a round of poker with him. He scoffs and agrees, thinking that this game will just add another win. They play and she beats him. With a crowd gathered, watching his defeat, she gets up and walks out of the casino. Leaving him along with everyone else in shock.

3.  For the next week the man becomes distressed, and begins to question himself. He stopped attending the casino to not only hide his embarrassment, but to pinpoint the reason as to why he lost that day. As he's sitting on a park bench alone and cold, the lady makes her appearance once again and asks the man if he would rather keep warm indoors.

4.The man is then faced with a decision on whether he should agree to that offer or not. He eventually agrees, and walks with her to take shelter. They talk, and he soon begins to realize that his old ways of thinking will only lead to the worst. He warms up to her and asks if she could teach him how to play "properly." She says yes to his request.

5. After a few lessons from her he seems to have developed into a much calmer state when playing. He stops acting as if he was superior, and became a better sport when he lost. After a period of time he gained popularity again, but he stayed true to his new mindset. 

Story 3:
1. In a world where technology has advanced but crime is common, A mob boss struggles with keeping her people in line due to her warm personality and easy attitude.

2. One of her trusted workers hacks into her digital wallet and steals her money, while also sabotaging her drug supply, causing chaos within the mob.

3. She seeks help from one of the only people she trusts, which is her advisor. He explains that she needed assertion to establish order. She has an epiphany that if shes going to be the boss then she needs to act like it.

4. She calls in her traitorous worker (who doesn't know that she knows) and plays dumb until the time is right. She makes a speech about how shes done playing nice, and threatens him. The other workers watch in fear as they watch their boss become a whole different person.

5. She finds order.
